My daughter received this for her 11th birthday. Although suitable for younger children, they tend to go through the sheets very quickly. It is great for holidays and journeys, all folds up. I ended up buying lots of this toy for friends girls, who all asked for it. Would say suitable for 9-12 year olds though. Another by the same people is one where you have to design outfits for sketched bare figues. You get a guide of styles - equally brilliant

Arist sketchbook
I recieved this for my 9th birthday and I love it. It is so fun and creative, but maybe needs a few more sheets in it! It is so great and I love designing faces. I would say it would be suitable for 8+.
